Konferenz zur radikalen Solidarität in Wien!

In Zeiten eskalierender sozialer, ökologischer und (geo-)politischer Krisen wird Solidarität häufig beschworen, doch oft ihrer Bedeutung beraubt, oder gar reduziert auf staatliche Pflicht, moralische Appelle oder identitätsbasierte Zugehörigkeit. Die Konferenz „Vereint in radikaler Solidarität: Unsere Antwort auf Herrschaft und Hierarchie“ bringt Wissenschaftler*innen, Aktivist*innen und Praktiker*innen zusammen, um Solidarität aus einer kritischen, antiautoritären Perspektive zu beleuchten.

Wir verstehen Solidarität nicht als moralische Parole, sondern als praktische, konfliktgeladene und beziehungsorientierte Praxis, die Herrschaft in Frage stell und zwar zur Schaffung egalitärer sozialer Beziehungen. Die Konferenz setzt eine Reihe von antiautoritären und antifaschistischen Tagungen: Die erste Tagung fand 2021 online (organisiert von der Pädagogischen Hochschule Freiburg) statt, das zweite 2025 an der VHS & TU Wien. Das Treffen 2026 zielt darauf ab, diese Gespräche weiter zu vertiefen und Perspektiven aus Theorie und Praxis zusammenzuführen – darunter soziale Bewegungen, Fürsorgearbeit, Gemeingüterinitiativen, Bildung, Technologie, ökologische Kämpfe, antirassistische und feministische Perspektiven, alternative Wirtschaftsformen und transnationale Solidaritätsnetzwerke.

Die Konferenz findet vom 18. bis 20. September 2026 in Wien (an TU Wien) statt. Vorschläge und Beiträge (Poster, Workshops, Vorträge…) sind bis zum 26. April 2026 willkommen. Weitere Informationen und Kontakt: radikalverbunden@riseup.net

United in Radical Solidarity – Conference in Vienna (18–20 September 2026)

In times of escalating social, ecological and (geo-)political crises, solidarity is frequently invoked but often emptied of meaning – reduced to state duty, moral appeal or identity-based belonging. The conference “United in Radical Solidarity: Our Response to Domination and Hierarchy” brings together scholars, activists and practitioners to explore solidarity from a critical, anti-authoritarian perspective.

Rather than a moral slogan, we understand solidarity as a practical, conflictual and relational practice that challenges domination and helps create egalitarian social relations. The conference continues a series of antiautoritarian-oriented conferences: the first took place online in 2021 (organised by the PH Freiburg), and the second in Vienna at the VHS & TU Wien in 2025. The 2026 meeting aims to further deepen these conversations and bring together perspectives from theory and practice – including social movements, care work, commons initiatives, education, technology, ecological struggles, anti-racist and feminist organising, alternative economies and transnational solidarity networks.
